After two years of creating digital paintings on my iPad (because I didn’t have a studio), I became jaded. Fortunately, at that time I was asked by Art Works Downtown in San Rafael, CA., if I wanted to rent a newly vacated studio in their complex; I accepted! Because the iPad is such a small format, I thought to loosen up with drawing on large pieces of paper. I started with charcoal, then added conte crayon, pastels and colored pencils. I plan on eventually painting on canvas with acrylics and oils, but I’m having such fun with the drawings that I’ll keep at it awhile.
